Lou makes a "Batch made in Heaven"

Love is in the air! In our house, I have a tradition that for the 14 days leading up to Valentine's Day, I give all the girls a small gift because I love them, usually completed with some pun! Their Daddy gives them one “bigger” gift on Valentine's Day (I will do a whole blog on this afterward)! For Monday, Lou and I baked chocolate chip cookies! I even matched her curriculum around the cookies!

The pun for this day is “A batch made in Heaven”!

As always, since we are working simple (prepackaged) ingredients, Lou will be providing the directions from pictures we took while she was helping cook.

Lou is the narrator, and I (momma) will be adding details inside the parentheses.

A Batch Made in Heaven

Ingredients:

cookie dough (mix)

butter (whole stick softened)

One (large) egg

Supplies:

A bowl

Mixer

Parchment paper (even though we had run out before starting!!)

Baking pans

First, you wash your hands before you make food (while I preheat the oven to 400 degrees)!

You get the bowl, cookie dough (mix), butter, and an egg.

Pour in the cookie dough (mix).

Put in the smushy butter.

Then you crack open the egg and put it on top (I was super impressed with her skills here)!

Then you blend it (with the mixer). Then you wash your hands again. Then you roll the squishy cookie dough into big, but not too big balls on the paper. Then I watched Netflix while I waited.

(We were out of parchment paper, so I had to spray the pan, and I put them in the oven from the waxed paper Lou used. Even though I set the timer for 8 minutes and pulled them out immediately, they were still a little too dark on the bottoms, so I used a trick to fix them. I little scrapped the bottom of the cookies on the grater until the “burnt” was off. Then I put them all in a bowl with a piece of loaf-a-bread. The cookies still the moisture from the bread, making the cookies soft!)

The girls have enjoyed eating them as their after school snack for the last few days!

I wanted to remind everyone that we have some coupons for Six Five Four Creations 14 days of Love Promotion! We are also holding giveaways and having sales on specific items through our Facebook page! (So if you don’t already follow us, you might want to check our page out)!
